Job Title: Quality Assurance Manager

Position Type: Full-Time

Schedule: 1st Shift: Monday – Friday 6:00am – 2:30pm or 7:00am – 3:30pm. Plus additional overtime as needed.

Salary: $30hr - $40hr

Position Summary

The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining the Quality Management System. This includes participating, directing, and supervising the Quality Assurance Planners involved in inspection and quality control procedures with regard to purchased material, in-process material, and finished products to assure that quality control standards are achieved, and all documentation is correct to customer requirements.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Submit First Article Inspections for approval.
  • Administering the Corrective Action System.
  • Supporting customer and agency audits.
  • Participating in internal and external audits.
  • Provide leadership and daily direction to quality assurance personnel.
  • Review manufacturing router and add appropriate outside process codes as necessary.
  • Evaluate and approve all Final Inspections.
  • Perform all customer audit requirements (VSE, Welding, Quality, etc.).
  • Review and approve PO requirements (customer and vendor) as necessary.
  • Assist in handling all quality issues with customers.
  • Monitor and assist subcontractors for all AS9100 needs.
  • Participates in the execution of the current Quality Management System.
  • Ensures outside process requirements are met.
  • Collaborating with supplier and customer quality representatives concerning problems with quality assurance and ensuring that effective correction action is implemented.
  • Providing Quality Assurance input within the Approved Supplier Program.
  • Signs and Archives certificate of compliance (COC) paperwork packages.
  • Creates, compiles & maintains inspection documenting forms and database records.
  • Ensuring Quality Assurance record retention.
  • Assist in investigating and determining causes of faulty work and consult and advise production supervisors as to corrective measures.
  • Designing and implementing methods for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection.
  • Promoting and executing quality standards, inspections processes, test methodology, quality plans, documents, and reports.
  • Reviewing customers’ purchase orders, contracts and change requests and ensuring that the necessary criteria and provisions are included in quality and process plans.
  • Follows guidelines in the “User's manual for Digital Manufacturing File Maintenance" (DMFM)        

 

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Continuing Studies and Certificate Programs are desirable.
  • College Degree a bonus.
  • Previous Job Experience desirable.
  • Experience using GD&T and a full range of measurement instruments and techniques.
  • Strong analytical skills, including data analysis and visualization.
  • Working knowledge of ISO9001 and AS9100.
  • Excellent oral/written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in word processing, email, and other hardware and software applications.
